Utah’s primary seat belt law went into effect today. The law’s goal is not to write more tickets, but rather, to save lives.

Wearing a seat belt is the single most effective way to save your life in a crash. You never know when something is going to happen, or when another driver is going to make a mistake. Taking the small, simple action of buckling up can make all the difference in your life – and, in the lives of those you love.
